Many students are used to a lecture-heavy model of education. In that model, the teacher speaks and the student listens. Guided self-learning is different. The student becomes an active learner.
Lesson 1.2: Self-learning does not mean learning alone
Guided self-learning does not mean that students are abandoned. It means they receive structure, resources, tasks and feedback, while taking responsibility for completing the learning process.
